Angela Evelyn Bassett (born April 15, 1961) was an American actor. Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actress. Bassett was brought up by her aunt in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Born and raised in New York New York. Bassett relocated with her sister to St. Petersburg Florida at age five in order so that they could be near their mom, who was separated from her father. Bassett saw James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play as she was still at high school and decided that it was acting she wanted to do. Yale University New Haven Connecticut granted her a bachelor's degree (1980) with a focus on African American study, and a graduate degree (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. While at Yale she met Courtney B. Vance a co-actor and they got married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. degree in African-American studies, 1980. Masters in Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama School: Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (seventh grade) Azalea Middle School (eighth and ninth grades) Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett has been cast as one of the main roles of Ramonda for the action movie i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda forever (2022).
